While in Darkness There is Light

follows five young expatriates who established a commune

in Australia in the early 1970s.  One of them, Charlie Dean, took a trip

through Southeast Asia with an Australian companion and was

captured by the communist Pathet Lao along the Mekong River.

In December 1974, after three months in a rainforest prison camp,

the boys were executed by machine gun fire.  Charlie's remains

were discovered in 2004 and returned to his family.
